A highly motivated individual who is keen to learn all aspects of horse management and care for horses. A reliable and trustworthy individual who is capable of running with lots of varied tasks to do with the everyday care and up keep of well bred sport horses. Must be prepared to work hard and be resilient to adverse weather conditions and be a team player who is good at communicating with others. Confident and a mature outlook will be helpful in the role.
- General yard duties, mucking out, turning out, feeding, grooming, tacking up, washing off, farrier, vet.
- Horses are sport horses for training in eventing and dressage
- Learn all aspects of caring for well bred sport horses
- Competition grooming at shows
- Dealing with physios, vets and farrier
- Will be trained in groundwork to exercise the horses
- Care and up keep of pasture and fencing and riding surfaces
- Good housekeeping of stables and around the yard
High standards of turnout will be covered.
