Equine Apprenticeship Opportunity – Professional Dressage & Livery Yard
Are you passionate about horses and eager to build a career in the equine industry? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic young person to join a professional dressage and livery yard, working under an experienced Dressage rider, trainer, and British Dressage recognised coach, with the added benefit of training through Reaseheath College.
About the Role
You will gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day care and management of competition and livery horses, while working alongside a knowledgeable and supportive team. This is an excellent stepping stone for those looking to pursue a variety of roles in the equestrian industry, with potential opportunities to ride and assist at competitions for the right candidate.
Duties Include:

Mucking out stables
-
Filling haynets and feeding routines
-
Bringing in and turning out horses
-
Tacking up and untacking
-
Grooming, rugging, and general horse care

Potential to assist with lunging, hacking, warming up/cooling down

Riding and exercising horses (dependent on ability and experience)

Supporting at competitions and training events as appropriate
Training & Qualifications
This is a Level 2 Equine Groom Apprenticeship delivered in partnership with Reaseheath College.
You will receive:

Regular workplace training and mentoring

20% off-the-job training time

Functional Skills support in Maths, English, and ICT (if required)
Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who is:

Confident and competent around horses
-
Knowledgeable in basic horse care

Riding at BHS Stage 2 standard or equivalent (qualification not essential)

Enthusiastic, punctual, and eager to learn

Able to listen, follow instructions, and work hard

Genuinely passionate about horses and a future in the equine industry
Location & Transport
You must live within a reasonable distance of the yard.
