Apprentice Landbased Service Engineering Technician

Location: All Depots Start Date: Autumn 2026 (Following Summer Trial)

The Role: What You Will Do

You won’t just be in a classroom. You will be hands-on from day one, learning how to:

· Diagnose & Repair: Master the mechanics, hydraulics, and electronics of cutting-edge farm machinery.

· Field Experience: Shadow senior technicians on-site at farms and in our state-of-the-art workshops.

· Advanced Tech: Use digital diagnostic tools and ICT systems to troubleshoot complex faults.

· Safety First: Learn to maintain a professional, safe, and organised workspace.

· Working Hours: Monday – Thursday 8.00am – 4.30pm Friday 8.00am – 3.30pm.

College & Training

· Fully Supported Learning: You will attend college in a supportive environment designed for technical excellence.

· Continuous Development: Your training is structured to keep you fully up to date with the latest industry advancements throughout each calendar year.

· Education: Ideally, GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above in English and Maths (plus 3 others).

· Passion: A genuine interest in how things work and a “hands-on” approach to problem-solving.

· Attitude: Proactive, punctual, and respectful. We want people who are 110% committed to becoming the best in the industry.

· Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with modern technology and eager to learn about GPS and precision farming software.

The Application Process

1. Apply: Submit your application by Monday 2nd March 2026.

2. Interview: Successful candidates will be invited to an interview (online or at the depot).

3. Summer Trial: Get a feel for the job during a paid trial period in July & August 2026.

4. Enrolment: Start your full apprenticeship following successful GCSE results and trial completion.
