This role provides hands-on training in meat cutting, product preparation, food safety, customer service, and inventory management under the guidance of experienced butchers.
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Customer service
- Preparing and cleaning the work surfaces
- Meat cutting and proportioning
- Meat processing (sausage making, burger pressing etc.)
- Safely operating machinery (Mincer, slicer etc.)
- Food safety and hygiene compliance, recording
- Recording and maintaining accurate logs
- Receiving and inspecting deliveries
