WATKINS PROPERTY VENTURES INVESTMENTS LTD set within 15 acres of formal and informal gardens, orchards, rose gardens, herbaceous borders, cut flower beds, greenhouses, lawns, ponds and woodland, the estate is currently undergoing an exciting programme of development and improvement.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic gardener to work alongside and support the Head Gardener in maintaining and developing the gardens and grounds to an exceptionally high standard. Our Head Gardener passionate experienced gardener hoping to create opportunities and inspire the next generation of horticulturalists. Together with his team transform and maintain the grounds around the estate.
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Supporting the Head Gardener with seasonal tasks
- Assist with maintenance and development of the estate
- Pruning, Hedge cutting, Planting, Weeding & Mulching
- Lawn care including, mowing, edging, scarifying, feeding
- Care of Flower beds, shrubs, trees and orchards
- Safe operation of Horticultural machinery, strimmer’s, hedge cutters, pedestrian mowers and ride on tractors
- Ensuring all areas are maintained & Presented to the highest standard
- Respect the Privacy of the estate owners
