JKHorticulture are professional gardening and landscaping services for independent living communities.
We are recruiting for a Horticulturist Operative to join a local rapidly growing Horticulture firm.
The ideal applicant will have a desire and passion for horticulture and looking to grow with a business through training and development to become an expert in their chosen career of horticulture and soft landscaping. We will support ongoing training too.
The successful applicant will also have the opportunity once trained and settled to have a company van to then manage their own workload on a weekly/monthly basis.
Flexibility will be needed when it comes to working away, possibly 1 to 2 nights a week depending on workload.
Areas you will cover currently are Staffordshire, Cheshire, Lancashire, West Midlands and Yorkshire
Role :- Professional horticulturalist specialising in the management of green spaces around independent living communities. They will require the ability to work alone eventually after training and supervision.
Must be:
- Reliable & Trustworthy
Must Have:
- A passion for horticulture!!!
- Proven professional horticultural education, training, and experience desirable PA1 & PA6 (but not essential)
- References may be requested.
- Clean Driving licence
Must Be able to:
- Manage your own time effectively
- Create positive relationships with clients whilst managing contractual responsibilities
- Keep accurate records of all works undertaken, implement, and manage company policy and Health & Safety
- On occasions may be required to undertake weekend work and stay overnight (Pre organised)
- Must be available for nights out when working away.
Main Duties include:
- Installation of soft landscaping schemes
- Management of green spaces including activities such as Grass cutting/hedge trimming/pruning/weeding etc
- The safe use and application of pesticides
- Reporting of all works undertaken and implementing company policy
- Contributing to the company development
