Congratulations to Abigail Matthews from Saputo Dairy UK, who is on the Dairy Technology Apprenticeship for winning last year’s Academic Student of the Year Award from Reaseheath College. This is presented to the student with the highest average mark for modules completed in the year.
Mike Bennett, Senior Tutor on the programme shared:
“It is important to say that, despite the difficulties of COVID enforced changes, Abs has coped really well with the switch to online learning. Her strengths lie in the desire to constantly develop her knowledge, often reading around the topic and spending time further investigating information. This award is a clear reflection of the additional work Abs puts in. Some stand out result along the way, for her, include a whopping 90% in the Cheese and Fermented Product module and an equally impressive 88% in the Innovation module. Excellent work. Abs approach to Eden has been first class since day one, upholding the EDEN values through the entire course.”
