For National Apprenticeship Week we are celebrating our apprentices and their successes!
Dan Lewis was a Level 3 Construction Plant Apprentice back in 2018. His ambition was to travel the world and he is now a British Antarctic Survey Engineer!
Dan Said:
“I qualified as a construction plant engineer after a three year apprenticeship with Arnold Plant Hire. I studied at Reaseheath, which was a great way to get to grips with the latest technology.
“I’m now an engineer with the British Antarctic Survey, working in one of the most remote places on earth. It’s an incredible experience and I’m having an amazing time.
“For my first project I was leading a team of engineers looking after heavy machinery being used to build a new wharf for research ships. Now I’m a traverse vehicles engineering manager, in charge of the expedition vehicles which haul the fuel, scientific equipment and supplies out into the field for the survey team.”
