Industry standard facilities
With a recent £80 million investment across campus, we have outstanding facilities including our:
Centre for Engineering Innovation and Agri-Technology, which leads the way in training and technology
Food Centre, which holds the highest benchmark for food safety and hygiene within a food production facility – the prestigious British Retail Consortium Global Standard (Version 8) Grade AA.
Vertical Farming Centre takes precision horticulture further by showcasing innovative growing techniques such as vertical crop growing, hydroponics, aeroponics, robotics and automated environments while our horticultural crop production unit has automated glasshouses with a computer controlled hydroponic system and innovative LED lighting.
Demonstration Farm has a new automated milking dairy which provides training in the emerging areas of digitalisation, robotics and data-driven dairy management. It operates alongside our conventional dairy, offering a unique opportunity to compare both systems.
Construction apprentices learn their craft alongside professional tradespeople in distinct trade areas using quality equipment and modern materials.
